Emily’s First Birthday Party
Emily’s First Birthday Party
Saturday, May 29, 2010
I have been meaning to post this all week and am finally getting around to doing it. Sorry about the delay!
Last week, we had a little first birthday party for Emily. That Emily was in a serious party mood too!
Emily’s little party was very low key. Let’s face it, a baby on her first birthday doesn’t exactly care about this stuff. What Emily does like is Sesame Street, so for her first birthday cake, Sesame Street it was!
Little Em got quite excited at her cake!
I think our awful singing kind of weirded Emily out a bit. But, it was nothing a nice bit of birthday cake couldn’t cure.
Haley, ever the helpful big sister, assisted Emily with the blowing out of the Number One candle.
It’s always fun to watch a baby enjoy their first slice of birthday cake. As you can see, Emily thinks cake = AWESOME!
Emily told us loud and clear that she liked her cake!
Cake is always at it’s best when smeared all over your face.
After cake, it was time for Emily to open her presents.
I think Emily found the wrapping paper far more appealing!
Even my mom’s distorted, scary, old lady-looking, creepy, witch claw of a hand couldn’t distract Emily!
I’m sorry, but the way my mom’s hand looks in this picture kind of freaked me out a bit! I’ve been seeing that crazy looking hand in my nightmares!
So, as you can see, Emily enjoyed celebrating this little milestone in her life and we enjoyed celebrating it with her!
