Haley wanted to ride in a stroller too so she could bundle up. So, I brought my dog stroller for Haley to ride in. She thought riding in a dog stroller was about the coolest thing ever. I suppose being pushed around the freezing zoo while lying down with a pillow and cozy blanket would be pretty cool. Haley knew she had a sweet ride!

To enter in the zoo to see all the lights, you pass through this arch...

... and you are greeted with this light spectacle!

Since it is the zoo, there are lots of “animals” around. Like Gorillas...

... and peacocks.

Zebras.

Giraffes.

A whole slew of various “critters” all beautifully sculpted in twinkling lights.

There are a few real animals about in their interior enclosures like the elephants...

However, this is one visit to the zoo where you are not there to see the animals. It’s all about the lights.

There’s a train (all decked out in lights - of course) that takes you around the park. Although we didn’t ride it this year, I’ve ridden it before and it’s a lot of fun. Here it is making it’s way behind the elephants.

Did I mention that it was very cold? Emily and Jennifer can attest to that!

I love the way these lights look like they are dripping off the trees. They were just icicle lights hanging in the trees, but the effect was so dramatic!

Beautiful lights everywhere!

How could you not enjoy all the pretty lights - especially bundled up all comfy cozy in a dog stroller? Haley says it was all pretty awesome!
